Christmas sniffles, coughs, hacks and upchucks.

We have been initiated into Parenting of the Sick Child 101 this past couple of weeks. We want to know who took our calm pleasant little girl! She's gone! Now we have a fussy child who is either smiling or screaming and snores because of all the crap in her nasopharynx the bulb sucker doesn't reach. Amazingly enough, she doesn't fight that sucker too much and sometimes thinks it is a little game. I can't imagine caring for more than one sick kid at a time, so Dan is not allowed to be sick right now. Ha Ha.

Alli is sitting up with the help of our good friend the "Boppy". She's blown off rolling over all together and is striving to go right to walking. I'm not really excited to move on to that stage. I guess I should start thinking about childproofing the house!

















Dan has picked up the traditional role of Toy Assembler on Christmas Day very quickly.

All about Alli

Except for this one, most of her hat work their way down over her eyes as she turns her head from side to side. She then hollers for someone to unblind her.
















I like this picture because my carpet looks clean. It is typically covered with Boone hair. Black Lab anyone? You know what I am talking about!

Dan has been permanently traumatized. Despite all his helpfulness as a Daddy, diapers have never been his thing. An event this morning has now left me in charge of all diapers for the rest of Alli's life, as well as the diaper phase of any other child we may have in the future.

Alli has recently started eating solids, therefore the diaper findings have changed. She had the blowout of all blowouts this morning. I thought for a minute Dan was going to blow (chunks)! He is convinced it is a diaper problem. He's positive we are buying the wrong brand or the fit is wrong or something is WRONG! I'm sure everyone has their share of messy poop stories. Has anyone found the perfect diaper?

Starting the adventure

I think Amy and Kate's blogs are fabulous! I hope I can figure out how to actually make this work. Lucky for me, most of my family is most likely blog naive, so they won't know any better! Hopefully no one is too offended by that! As for my friends who are more computer savvy that I am, be patient and gentle with your comments.



Little Miss Allison would be the primary reason for this blog adventure. She is 6 months old now. In a nutshell, she is happy...all the time.
