How we spend our days.

This swing has been worth its weight in gold when it comes to provinding a place for Sidney to nap.

This is Pepper. We are dog-sitting. Pepper has become Alli best playmate over the last few days. Alli is trying to get Pepper to confess what her favorite color of crayon is before they go to the toy room to play with her dolls.

Reply to Lisa's comment asking if having Pepper around makes us want a puppy.

NO WAY! Nothing against Pepper, she is a great, low-maintainance dog, but we are not ready for another dog right now. We are still mourning the loss of Boone. And loving the lack of dog hair around the house. But the bottomline is we will get another lab puppy when Dan has time to train it and we have settled down somewhere we hope to be for many years. (read not Pittsburgh).

Daddy has the midas touch to get her to sleep on this night.

I carry Sidney around in a Moby wrap. I imagine being all cuddled up in it is just like being carried around by a mama kangaroo. She loves it. These pictures were taken while she is in it.

Christmas 2008. All about Alli

It was all about Alli this year. She LOVED Christmas.

Santa brought her a pink cowgirl hat.

She certainly did not get those amazing lashes from Mommy. I will take credit for the curls though.

A few things I almost forgot about teeny-tiny babies.

1. The squeaks & squeals they make while eating.

2. Diaper blowouts, the number and severity of them.

3. They molt a week or so after being born.

4. They don't just burp themselves.

5. How sharp and poky those fingernails can be.

6. What a pain it is to file them.

7. Cord care. Yuck!

8. They don't respond to the "legs up" command like a 2 year old does during a diaper change.

9. How her Daddy dotes over her.

10. How good it feels to NOT be pregnant.

Busy Growing

Bringing little Sidney home has instantly made Alli into a big kid. Literally, she grew overnight. I swear she is taller, her hands and feet are bigger, her hair is longer. What is up with this phenomenon?
